I'm McKayla Hatfield, and it has been a true honor to serve the residents of Chaska's Ward 3 for the past two terms on the City Council. When I first ran for this seat, it was a decision rooted in a deep love for the community where I was raised and have chosen to make my home as an adult.
I grew up in downtown Chaska, right here in Ward 3. From my paper route as a youngster, delivering the Mint to the east side of downtown, to playing with friends along the waters of East Creek, I developed a deep appreciation for just how special Chaska and the people who call this community home truly are. That appreciation, and that love for this community, have stayed with me in every decision I've been a part of over the past two terms.
I am committed to being a leader who shows up when it's hard, leans in with empathy, and tells it like it is, with people at the forefront of every decision.
